“Please,” she begged.
Oh, he loved when she begged. Robert rocked Trina’s world like nobody’s business. He knew everything it took to make her scream his name and the name of a few deities and then his name again. Robert took pleasure in the doing everything to get her to levels of ecstasy that she had only dreamed of. He was a master and she knew it. Robert believed that she had fallen for him just as he had fallen for her. They had a chemistry that he knew was meant to be. They connected on many levels and this was just one of those spectacular levels. This was something that he hoped would never end.

“Please,” she begged.
Trina could not believe what she had found in Robert. He seemed to find and trigger every button she had and it was unbelievable. Even with all that, she still had lingering doubts. They were getting along very well inside and outside the bedroom, but she still had one little, well, if she was honest with herself, big hangup. Robert had no legs from just below the knees down. She was kinda, sorta almost okay with it, but it still weirded her out. She was certain she could get past it, certainly, he had a lot of positives, but it still was very strange to her.

“Please, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean … ”
Trina hadn’t meant for Robert to overhear that conversation with her best friend. She really had gotten to a point where his disability didn’t bother her that much, but she still needed to talk to someone about how she felt. She was embarrassed and hoped that this didn’t mean the end
“Please,” she begged, “don’t go, we can work this out, can’t we?”
Robert took one look over his shoulder and laughed. Why should he give her another chance?
“I’m leaving, I’m taking my things, and I’m leaving. I can’t believe I let myself fall for you.” He was absolutely disgusted at what he heard her say about him.
“He is good looking for half a guy. Once I got over the no legs thing, it was fine. I mean it still weirds me out sometimes, but you know, he makes up for it in other ways.”
This was not acceptable. Sure he wasn’t perfect, but no one is, and to hear her talk about him that way. Better to leave now, before he was more invested in her.
“For your information, I am a whole human being, my personhood is not in my legs. I am not ‘weird’ and if you can’t accept me as I am, this relationship is over. I can’t believe you would talk about me that way. I am absolutely disgusted by you, I don’t need to make up for my disability in the sheets. What happened in bed was due to our chemistry, not because I needed to prove something. I thought we had the chance for more, but clearly, that isn’t the case. I’m done.”
“Please,” she begged, “don’t go.”
“Too little, too late,” Robert said as he slammed the door behind him.
Okay, who are you? *narrows eyes suspiciously* And what have you done with my sweet, sweet Lesley?
Well, that was quite a departure from your usual, ma’am! I hope you had as much fun writing it as I did reading it! Great job!!
Hugs,
Ann
